Back end Developer - Symfony / Django

Innovate. Making a difference. At Fabrique we want to make work of significance. For ourselves, for the client and, if possible, also for society. That's what we call work with impact. What will you bring to make that possible?

Full-time / Part-time · Rotterdam en Amsterdam

About the role

We are looking for someone to join our Symfony team. But besides Symfony we also do a lot with Python/Django and Vue for the front end architecture. Therefore we find it important that you also have an affinity with these fields or would like to develop yourself in them. Of course, we give you all the space you need.

You ensure that the designs of sites and web applications become tangible. You are involved from the beginning of the project so that you can really influence the end result. During the realization you spar with your team members, you do not lose sight of the deliverables and you identify possible obstacles.

Based on your technical knowledge and solution orientation, you are given the freedom to take a design solution to the next level. Do you get your satisfaction from setting up an elegant server architecture with an open source framework like Symfony or Django? How can Craft or Wagtail CMS be set up even more elegantly? How do we set up that RESTful or GraphQL link smartly?

All well and good! What we find especially important is that you have a broad interest and are able to quickly teach yourself new techniques. That's what counts in our beautiful, constantly changing field.

Our stack

Here is a selection of our technical stack: Linux, Django, Python, Wagtail, PHP, Symfony, Vue, Craft, Redis, Postgresql, GIT, Webpack, SCSS, React, D3js, NginX, SSH, Supervisor, Elasticsearch, Gunicorn.

Your skillset

  • You have at least 2 years of demonstrable experience developing Symfony projects.

  • You know your way around Django or Vue in addition to Symfony, or would like to learn.
  • You have HBO or WO thinking level and a computer science background is a plus.
  • You know where to find specific knowledge and discover new techniques.
  • You live in the Netherlands or are willing to relocate.

What will you get in return?

  • A flexible workplace in our studio in the center of Amsterdam or Rotterdam. We like it if you can be often found in the office and it is also possible to work from home regularly.

  • A delicious and varied lunch, chair massage, drinks and outings.
  • Every question is different. As is every process. From scrum, Lean Startup to Design Sprints. With us you learn how to do it, or we make sure you become even better at it.
  • Attending external training courses and conferences.
  • Two weeks of research time per year. Independent of Fabrique projects and entirely at your own discretion.
  • Obviously you will receive a salary, have 25 vacation days and we will register you for pension. You get a laptop with software and tools to do your job effectively.

Excited? We are looking forward to your application!

At this moment we are not hiring people that depend on a visa.
